dotMobi launched more than three years now. All different countries require Mobile special domains as well. Just like the .com, .net, .org etc, ccTLD have special second level domains for it.
Is it will be the same for .mobi? I do expect NOT. Expect .mobi will open second Level .mobi for ccTLD, rather than ccTLD open second level for Mobile Domains.
Current status .mobi.ccTLD status, .mobi.ccTLD cann’t be standard way.
1. .ke opens the .mobi.ke for Mobile Domain. The first one 
2. Most of other ccTLD didn’t reserve .mobi at all. If they want to open an special Mobile Domain, they will consider others to be used. For example, .mobi.us, .mobi,jp, .mobi.cc, .mobi.tv are unavailable.
Good opportunity for dotMobi to open ccTLD.mobi
1. dotMobi reserved all the ccTLD.mobi, all are available
2. use second level ccTLD.mobi as Mobile Domain for ccTLD, which will make the .mobi as the standard Mobile Domain.
How it works?
1. dotMobi manage all the ccTLD.mobi as .mobi, don’t suggest since ccTLD has no profit from it.
2. dotMobi provide management API for ccTLD, and ccTLD to manage them. Suggest do in this way. In this way, ccTLD will be happy to promote and use it. They can get profit with less efforts. It is like what dotMobi do for Chinese IDN .mobi
